Spring Golf Season In Myrtle Beach
It is spring golf season in Myrtle Beach and life is busy at Prestwick Country Club. The calendar is full of fun events for golfers of all ages. Package play from visiting golfers dominate the tee sheets but there is always time for the local golfers to come out and enjoy this gem of a golf course.
The golf course is waking up from the winter months quite nicely. The Bermuda is kicking into overdrive adding some challenge to wayward tee shots that end up in the rough. The head professional, Jay Smith, is expecting an exciting month of May and a strong summer.
April ends with a fun event on Saturday the 30th. Come on into the clubhouse from 8am to 1pm for a ball fitting and demo day by Bridgestone Golf. It is free and open to the public. It is a great way for golfers of all skill levels to find out what kind of golf ball they should be playing to maximize their game.
Speaking of maximizing game, while at Prestwick head on over to the large practice facility and driving range. The range has plenty of space to work on the swing either for practice or warm up before a round. Directly next to it is a spacious short game area. Practice putting on our large putting green and then move over to the practice green to work on bunker and chip shots.
Prestwick has recently changed from a semi-private club to a public daily fee golf course. That is great for all golfers! Whether you are looking for a round of golf tomorrow, next week, or in the fall, call the pro shop at 888.250.1767 and book a tee time today.
Even though it is still spring golf season in Myrtle Beach. The tee sheets are already open for the fall to book your tee times. We offer many different multi play packages with other courses along the grand strand. We want you to play Prestwick and also enjoy the many other courses we partner with.
Take advantage of discounted replays and discounted pricing the more rounds you play. The more rounds of golf played, the more money saved!! That is a winning combination!
Golfers that have played Prestwick before will start to notice some changes to the grounds in the coming months. Plans for the summer tree removal in specific areas are underway. There will be updates and work in some of the bunkers on various holes. It is time to improve some of the drainage work around the course as well. These changes will provide a higher level of quality to the golfing experience in an effort to make Prestwick Country Club a favorite course on the Grand Strand.
